The Tony Awards celebrate outstanding achievement on Broadway. The first awards ceremony took place in 1947, and all have been televised since 1967. “The Tony”, as it is referred to, is considered the theater industry’s “Oscar”. Arguably, there is no more prestigious honor for live theater in the entire world.
This year, the Tony Awards returned to Radio City Music Hall for its live broadcast. The Broadway League utilized PMD WindowPoster™ Displays to get their message seen across Manhattan, in neighborhoods including the Theater District, Union Square, and Hell’s Kitchen. After working with the theater industry for more than twenty years, we at PMD were excited to finally be advertising the Tonys, the first collaboration, of hopefully many more to come!
